Bengaluru woman ‘abuses’ auto driver over questioning while booking two vehicles at once: ‘Yeh Pagal Aadmi Hai’

Bengaluru news: An auto driver in Bengaluru has filed a complaint against a woman passenger, accusing her of double-booking rides on Ola and Rapido and then canceling one upon his arrival. The driver, Pavan Kumar, alleged that the woman used offensive language during the confrontation and highlighted the financial burden on motorists when such practices take place.

A viral video of Kumar showed a woman sitting in another car and he questioned her actions. The car driver confronted the passenger asking how she could book two cars at the same time and cancel one after a long wait, making him feel mistreated.

The woman denied the allegations, claiming she only compared fares on the apps before booking one ride. She insisted the problem stemmed from an “app problem” and accused the driver of harassment. During the heated argument, the woman reportedly used offensive language, reportedly tried to punch the driver and called her father to intervene. The confrontation visibly upset her, as seen in the video.

The video, which sparked a debate on social media, raised questions about the ride cancellation policy. While some users argued that customers have the right to cancel rides through the app, others highlighted the economic impact of such cancellations on drivers.

Pavan Kumar tagged the Bengaluru city police and other authorities in his social media post, seeking action against the passenger. In his complaint, he reiterated that the woman had booked his car through Ola but canceled it in favor of a Rapido ride, causing him financial losses and unnecessary waiting time.
