Canadian Pacific investigating train-car incident in St. Charles

ST. CHARLES, Minn. (KTTC) – Canadian Pacific Railroad investigators are on the scene after a train allegedly struck a car on the railroad tracks in St. Charles Saturday morning.

According to a Facebook post from the St. Charles Police Department, the incident happened before 10 a.m. at the intersection at Whitewater Avenue, Wabasha Avenue and Richland. According to police, the incident closed all railroad tracks in St. Charles for several hours except those on West Avenue

All railways will be open again from 2.15 pm.

KTTC has a crew on site and is working to gather more information about the situation.
