Oregon State will start Gevani McCoy at quarterback against Air Force

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Oregon State junior Gevani McCoy returns to his role as starting quarterback for Saturday’s 12:30 p.m. game against Air Force.

The change was made when Ben Gulbranson didn’t make the trip to the Air Force. It was not known why Gulbranson, who started last Saturday’s game against San Jose State, did not make the trip.

Gulbranson completed 24 of 37 passes for 292 yards against the Spartans.

McCoy started OSU’s first eight games this season. McCoy has not played since being pulled during the second quarter against California on Oct. 26. McCoy is 123 of 200 for 1,300 yards and three touchdowns this season.

Johnson has played in four games, including a handful of games against California. He is 5 of 8 for 48 yards and has run for 37 yards.
