Meghan Trainor opens up about her son’s fear of the toilet

Meghan Trainor‘s son Riley was terrified of toilets. Since ‘terrified’ has recently become the optimal word here, he overcame his fear of toilets with the help of his father and mother.

Trainor recently spoke with EOnline about her sons being on tour with her, and how Riley was so afraid of the toilet all the time.

“It’s hard when your three-year-old son is afraid of all the toilets,” she said. “So that was definitely a curveball. And when we go to a new environment, especially on tourhe covered his ears and said, “How’s the toilet?” That, for example, was his first concern.’

She added, “He doesn’t like the automatic flushers because no one’s ready for that, you know? And it always happens mid-pee, so he said, “Ahh!”

Hey, those toilets can be pretty loud! It can be so scary for a little one, so we totally understand Rileys fears. However, Trainor devised a plan to both potty train him and overcome his fear of the toilet.

“We created this game where we collected toy jars,” she added. “We were like, ‘That was a good one, so we’re collecting that.’ Just anything to get him excited about going potty. And now he’s a professional! He can do it himself.”

For those who don’t know, she and her husband, Daryl Sabara, have two beautiful ones sons named Riley, born in February 2021, and Barry, born in July 2023.

In a previous one interview with SheKnowsTrainor talked about which of her songs her two sons love.

“They always sing the Freshpet song. They love that. And my younger brother produced it with me, so we always play it in the house because we are so proud. But my youngest started dancing. He recently started dancing, which is exciting. And then, then my 3 year old, it’s the new thing song every day for him. He is a real Meghan Trainor fan. It’s weird. He likes ‘To The Moon’ because he likes rocket ships, and he is in the music video. So I think this is his number one,” she said.
