Man seriously injured in bar fight in Kerns, suspect arrested

Portland police say a man was seriously injured during a fight at a bar in Kerns. Police were called to a bar in the 2600 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard just before midnight for a report of a stabbing. When police arrived, they found an adult male with wounds to his neck, officials said. According to police, the suspect had left the bar shortly before arriving.

“Officers searching the area quickly located the suspect two blocks west of the bar, in the 2400 block of Northeast Sandy Boulevard, and arrested him,” PPB said in a news release.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. According to police, the injuries sustained are not life-threatening.

28-year-old Abraham Bravo of Portland was taken into custody and charged with second-degree assault and an outstanding warrant.
