Republican Senator Markwayne Mullin has urged the U.S. House of Representatives to release an unreleased ethics report on alleged sexual misconduct involving a 17-year-old girl by Matt Gaetz, Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general.

Mullin said Sunday on NBC’s Meet the Press that it is “absolutely” necessary that he and his fellow senators see the report as they consider Gaetz’s nomination, following a growing number of Republican senators.

“That should certainly be part of our decision-making,” Mullin said. However, the Oklahoma senator hesitated on whether to make the report public.

Trump’s nomination of Gaetz has caused a stir in Washington.

Gaetz was under one ongoing ethical investigation in the House of Representatives over allegations of sexual misconduct, illegal drug use and misuse of campaign funds.

He abruptly resigned last week, ending the investigation.

Gaetz has denied all allegations.
