Packers announce pair of roster moves, place offensive lineman on injured reserve

GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – With less than 24 hours until kickoff in Chicago, the Packers have announced a few roster moves before taking on the Bears at Soldier Field on Sunday.

The first was the signing of Robert Rochell from the practice squad to the active roster. Rochell played in four games for Green Bay this year, three of which were gameday calls. The big move, however, was the Packers placing offensive lineman Jordan Morgan on injured reserve.

The rookie Morgan was selected out of Arizona with the No. 25 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft. Morgan has played in six games this year, including one as an offensive tackle.

The move will come later Morgan was ruled out by the Packers on Friday’s injury report with a shoulder injury. Morgan did not practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday. But Morgan was not listed on the injury report on Wednesday.

Head coach Matt LaFleur confirmed after practice on Friday that Morgan aggravated the shoulder problem that had plagued him all season.

The Packers and Bears kick off at noon on Sunday from Soldier Field in Chicago.
