Powys: Arrests after driver dies in three-car crash near Welshpool

Two men have been arrested after a driver was killed and a child seriously injured in a three-car crash.

The child was in the white Toyota Yaris in which the person died and was airlifted to hospital.

One man, 29, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving, while the second, 33, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

It happened at around 6:15pm GMT on Saturday on the A483 at Belan, near Welshpool, Powys. The victim died on the spot.
