Vehicle lifter arrested, 4 bicycles recovered

Booked for over 11 crimes of theft, burglary and assault, a vehicle thief was arrested by Ayodhyanagar police and 4 two-wheelers including Royal Enfield worth Rs 4.5 lakh were recovered from his possession. Lifting vehicles was done to fulfill his hobbies and for drugs.

The suspect was trying to sell a Bullet motorcycle stolen from Ayodhya Nagar police station area in Raisen area when he was caught by the police.

The accused Pawan Kathotiya has several crimes, including theft and burglary, registered against him in the past. He committed thefts to fulfill his hobby of wandering and drug addiction.

Station Superintendent Mahesh Lilhare and his team arrested Pawan Kathotiya, who confessed to four stolen two-wheelers recovered from him and valued at around Rs. 4.5 lakhs.

Pawan, who went to sell the stolen Royal Enfield (Bullet) vehicle in Raisen area, was stopped near Arahedi and questioned about the motorcycle with registration number MP20NS0640.

The suspect revealed that he had stolen it from Basant Kunj colony five months ago. He also admitted to stealing Bajaj CT 100, an Activa from Chhatrapati Nagar and a TVS bike from a liquor shop in Ayodhya Nagar about two months ago.
