A crash leaves one person dead on West Church Street outside Sandersville

SANDERSVILLE, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) – A fatal crash has occurred in Washington County, officials say.

At 8:52 a.m. Sunday, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office posted on social media that officers were on the scene of a fatal traffic accident on West Church Street, outside Sandersville.

No foul play suspected after body found on Skinner Road

The Richmond County Coroner’s Office says a body was found on Skinner Road Saturday evening.

The Georgia State Patrol is investigating the crash.

It has been deadly on the CSRA roads in recent days.

On Friday, a pedestrian was killed in a crash in downtown augusta.

Also on Friday a driver died three days after a crash at US 178 and Duncan Road in Saluda County.
