I’m a Celebrity Live: First challenges already filmed as Oti Mabuse, Coleen Rooney and others land in Australia

Revealed: Meet the I’m A Celebrity class of 2024

The 2024 cast of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! have arrived in Australia and filming is already underway ahead of tonight’s launch episode.

ITV has released its first behind-the-scenes look at the cast meeting on a sunny beach before heading to the jungle.

The cast includes N-Dubz singer and former X factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos, Kroningsstraat actor Alan Halsall and Come strictly dance star Oti Mabuse. Others joining them include Coleen Rooney, McFly singer Danny Jones and boxer Barry McGuigan.

Tonight’s launch show will see celebrities team up and take part in various challenges, with the aim of finishing first and becoming camp leaders.

The winning pair will be given the title of the series’ first leaders, giving them a cozy night’s sleep in the leaders’ box, exempt from any chores, and putting them in charge of running the camp exactly as they wish.

Ahead of the launch, Mabuse defended her decision to join the show a year after her daughter’s birth, saying she will never get such an opportunity again.

Meanwhile, Ruth Langsford was revealed to be starring in a spin-off show for the new series, months after splitting from Eamonn Holmes.

“It’s been a tough year for Ruth and she has put her best foot forward. She is thrilled to have been asked to appear on the spin-off show and fly to Australia before Christmas,” a source said.

I’m a celebrity… Get me out of here! starts next Sunday, November 17, on ITV1 and ITVX.

What do the campmates gain for this first challenge?

The pair who win the race will win the coveted title of the camp’s first leaders, unlocking the benefits of being able to sleep in the comfort of the Leaders’ Lodge and being exempt from the first Bushtucker trial.
