Man seriously injured after skydiving at Buckeye Municipal Airport

BUCKEYE, AZ – A man was seriously injured after a reported skydiving incident Sunday morning at Buckeye Municipal Airport.

The Buckeye Fire Department says they were called to the airport just before 9:15 a.m. for the reported incident.

When they arrived, they found a man seriously injured and he was rushed to hospital.

Fire officials believe the man’s canopy collapsed about 20 to 40 feet above the ground, leading to a quick, uncontrolled landing.

It is not yet clear what caused the collapse.
