Driver killed and child flown to hospital after crash in Wales | British news

A driver has died and a child is in critical condition after a three-car crash Wales.

The serious accident happened on Saturday evening on the A483 near Welshpool in Powys, Wales.

A red BMW X3, a blue Audi S4 and a white Toyota Yaris ended up on the roadway around 6:15 p.m.

The red BMW and blue Audi had been traveling northbound while the Toyota was traveling in the opposite direction, Dyfed-Powys Police said.

Police said: “Sadly, the driver of the white Toyota Yaris died at the scene. A minor passenger from the same car was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

‘HM coroner and next of kin have been informed. Specially trained officers support their families.”

Now two men have been arrested following the fatal accident.

One man, aged 29, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and drug driving.

Another man, aged 33, was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

The road was closed overnight as an investigation into the collision took place and reopened on Sunday morning.
