Motorcyclist seriously injured in each crash in Center

A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash Sunday morning in Centereach, according to police.

Authorities say officers responded to the scene at Joan Avenue and Middle Country Road around 10:30 a.m

Police say Christopher Borrero attempted to turn left onto Middle Country Road from Ronkonkoma Boulevard when he crashed into the motorcycle.

Police say 23-year-old Anthony Russo of Selden was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

Borrero was not injured.

Middle Country Road was closed in both directions between Smithtown Polk Boulevard and Selden Boulevard.

The roadway was reopened shortly before 3 p.m
