Man, 68, charged after allegedly assaulting and sexually assaulting two teenage girls in Prestwick, Ayr

A man has been accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls in South Ayrshire.

Police said a 68-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the assault on Prestwick Road, which runs from Prestwick to Ayr, at around 7.30pm on Saturday.

He has been released on condition he will appear in court at a later date.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “A 68-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the alleged assault and sexual assault of two teenage girls on Prestwick Road, Ayr, at around 7.30pm on Saturday, November 16.

“He has been released on an undertaking to appear in court at a later date.”
