Reunited ’90s metal band recruits new singer and announces shows for 2025

Popular 1990s metal band Snot have announced several shows for 2025 after reuniting with a new lead singer for the first time in a decade.

The band will play three shows before performing at the Welcome to Rockville festival in May 2025 in Daytona Beach, Florida.

Guitarist Mikey Doling dropped the show dates during a interview on the “Talk Toomey” podcast that premiered on Sunday, November 17.

Snot’s 2025 show dates are as follows:

  • Friday, January 17 — The Parish at House Of Blues in Anaheim, California
  • Saturday, January 18 – Brick by Brick in San Diego, California
  • Saturday, February 8 – SohO in Santa Barbara, California
  • May 15-18: Daytona International Speedway (Welcome to Rockville) in Daytona Beach, Florida

Tickets for the Anaheim show go on sale Wednesday, Nov. 20, Doling said on the podcast. The guitarist also said that the band should announce more upcoming shows soon.

Snot’s lineup consists of Doling, guitarist Sonny Mayo, bassist John “Tumor” Fahnestock and drummer Jamie Miller.

Doling told the ‘Talk Toomey’ podcast that he was inspired to get the band back together after seeing similar acts on festival lineups in 2024, including Coal Chamber and Mudvayne.

“So I talked to the guys. We didn’t even have a singer then. Anyway, so I contacted the band and said, ‘Hey man, I think we should get a singer and play some festivals and have some fun.’ And they said, ‘Yes, we’re in if you can find the right singer for us,'” Doling said.

However, finding a singer to replace original singer Lynn Strait proved to be a challenge.

Strait and his dog, who appeared on the cover of Snot’s debut album in 1997, were killed in a car accident in 1998.

Snot broke up, but released a tribute album in 2000 with an all-star line-up of guest singers.

Snot previously reunited in 2008 with Tommy “Vext” Cummings on vocals and again in 2014 with singer Carl Bensley. Doling won’t say who the band’s mysterious new singer will be, other than to say a friend recommended them.

“It just punched me in the face how good it was. I thought, ‘Wow, this is the guy,'” Doling said. “He did about five songs and he was absolutely incredible, he pulled it off. He looks good. He’s got that whole punk vibe that we’re looking for. And he just did a good job, man… Singing like Lynn Strait isn’t easy, man. And he absolutely rocked it, to the point where I had to sit down; I was so blown away.”

Doling said the identity of the new singer will be revealed before their first concert.
