I’m A Celebrity 2024 LIVE – Terrified as I’m A Celeb star screams as snake slides into his shorts during first test

The best line-up in the history of I’m A Celeb

by Rod McPhee

JUST when you thought this year’s I’m A Celebrity would be dominated by strong women, here comes an alpha male waving goodbye to the boys.

Former featherweight boxer Barry McGuigan is a heavyweight addition to the jungle – and at 63, he also happens to be the oldest.

But along with the signing of Melvin Odoom, he’s really just the icing on the cake, as the lineup already looks like one of the best in the show’s history.

Star signing is undoubtedly Coleen Rooney, with ITV bosses hoping (and praying) she will spill more beans about her Wagatha clash with Rebekah Vardy.

But there will be some serious feminine energy in camp as Sun columnist and Loose Women star Jane Moore shares fireside chats with pop star Tulisa and dancer Oti Mabuse.

Perhaps the only thing missing this year is an obvious ‘villain of the piece’ who will likely be nominated for most stomach-churning trials.

In recent years the jungle has welcomed Seann Walsh, Matt Hancock and Nigel Farage, all of whom made headlines for questionable behaviour.

But actually, the villains turned out not to be IAC’s standout stars, and it’s still the lesser-known celebrities who emerge as unlikely heroes.

And despite big names dominating the buzz, my money is on Corrie’s Alan Halsall or Reverend Richard Coles as this year’s dark horses of the jungle.
