An Atlantic City man is facing multiple animal cruelty charges after he was allegedly caught on video throwing dogs over the Humane Society’s fence

ATLANTIC CITY, New Jersey (WPVI) — A man has been indicted by a grand jury on several counts of animal cruelty after he was allegedly caught on video throwing dogs over the fence of the Humane Society of Atlantic County in two separate incidents.

Jahlil McNeal, from Atlantic City, was arrested during a traffic stop in August after police said he was the man seen on video walking to the Humane Society on Route 30 throwing a pit bull mix over the fence around 2 a.m. on July 15.

The Humane Society of Atlantic County is asking for help after a dog was thrown over the fence.

The dog, then known as Brenda, was seen falling and rolling onto her side.

Brenda has very noticeable scars on her back, which shelter staff believe are from an old injury – possibly a burn.

McNeal, 23, is accused of doing something similar in April, which was also captured on video. In that incident, three pit bull mixes were thrown over the fence.

With the public’s help, the Humane Society and law enforcement were able to identify McNeal as the person in those videos.

McNeal is charged with animal cruelty for every dog ​​he abandons. He has also been accused of failing to provide necessary veterinary care for Brenda’s injuries. He also faces charges of witness tampering and theft of services.
