Matthew and Camila McConaughey recreate the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days poster

Matthew McConaughey and his wife Camila Alves McConaughey pay tribute to his iconic role in How to lose a man in 10 days in a new ad for their organic tequila brand Pantalones.

The ad, which features the Oscar-winning actor without pants, shows the couple recreating the poster for the 2003 rom-com. Titled ‘How to Lose Your Pants 10 Ways’, Camila McConaughey is decked out in a yellow silk dress that matches the one Kate Hudson wore for the film.

Pantalones too debuted 10 specialty cocktail recipes inspired by the film, including ‘Love Fern Margarita’, ‘Benny Boo Boo’, ‘You’re So Vain’ and ‘Yellow Dress’.

The How to lose a man in 10 days-inspired ad is the latest part of the “official tequila of” campaign for tequila brand McConaughey’s.

In August they released one Labor Day themed adin which they mowed the lawn without pants. The ad called the brand the official tequila of “mowing your lawn.” They’ve released pantless before pickle, grilling And swimming pool advertisements for Pantalones.

The couple launched the brand in the fall of 2023 with Blanco, Reposado and Añejo. The award-winning line of tequila is “created to have fun, do good and not take life too seriously,” according to a press release. It recently celebrated its first anniversary.

In its first year on the market, Añejo tequila was recently awarded the San Francisco World Spirits Competition’s highest accolade, double gold – an award given after all judges unanimously voted it best in class had exclaimed. Their Blanco tequila also received a gold medal, while the Reposado received the bronze.

The brand said in a release earlier this year that almost all of its work will be pants-free by 2024.
