Many couples choose to go the traditional route of abstaining from sex before marriage, but this Texas couple took it a few steps further.

Keylin Akuchie and her husband, Eleazer Akuchie, first met at the Christ For Nations Institute in 2019, where Keylin admitted she was in love with Eleazer. However, it wasn’t until three years later that he asked her out.

When they started their relationship, the couple decided to create physical boundaries due to their strong religious beliefs, which even included not kissing before marriage.

“I had never kissed anyone before. I wanted the first person I kissed to be the one I married,” Eleazer said.

According to them, their decision to postpone physical intimacy has helped them focus on connecting emotionally and spiritually.

“I think everyone thought our choice was weird, and they wondered, ‘What if we’re bad kissers?'” Eleazer said.

To avoid temptation, they spent time with friends, prayed and enjoyed small gestures such as kisses on the forehead and holding hands.

After two years of dating and maintaining their boundaries, Keylin and Eleazer got married.
