Domestic Violence Intervention announces the appointment of Carin Anne Gomes as the new local executive director.

DVI is committed to providing comprehensive support and services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault in Churchill and Lyon Counties.

Gomes has deep roots in Fallon and is committed to breaking the cycle of violence and sharing.

“Every individual deserves dignity and respect,” she said. “Their perspective is important, and I am committed to helping clients where they are in their lives.”

Gomes said the core of her work is creating a lasting, positive impact on the health and safety of local communities.

“By improving the home environment, I believe we can create a ripple effect that improves the lives of families and individuals in our community,” said Gomes.

Gomes said she looks forward to building on existing relationships and creating new partnerships to strengthen the agency’s mission of empowering individuals to live lives free of violence, and providing a safe and nurturing environment for all individuals and families promote.
