Madison man charged after stabbing elderly landlord

MADISON, Maine (WABI) – A Madison man is in custody after allegedly stabbing his landlord.

According to the Somerset County Sheriff’s Office, they responded to the reported stabbing on Heald Street in Madison on Thursday afternoon.

They say 53-year-old Daniel Nordin stabbed the 82-year-old landlord in the stomach and hand when the landlord tried to enter his apartment over a maintenance issue.

The landlord was hospitalized for stab wounds, which officials said are not life-threatening.

Nordin was arrested and charged with aggravated assault.
