Here’s something we didn’t expect: the Ford Ranger MS-RT, a motorsport-inspired pickup previously reserved for Europeis on its way to Thailand. This may not be surprising, as the body kit is inspired by racing trucks that compete in Asian series such as Thailand Super Pickupbut it is still an interesting development.

The MS-RT has real rally history, as it was developed by Ford’s World Rally Championship (WRC) team M-Sport. On the outside, modifications include a deep front air dam with a trapezoidal air intake, a honeycomb grille and an integrated splitter, along with integrated fender flares (with front vents leading to the sculpted side skirts) that make the truck approximately 82 wider. to make. mm.

Also fitted are a roof and ducktail tailgate spoiler and a huge rear diffuser; the addition of the body kit means the truck’s distinctive side steps have been removed. Interestingly, Ford’s Super Pickup Ranger racer adopted the MS-RT body kit, so the inspiration for the truck comes full circle.

These changes are accompanied by the largest wheels ever offered on a car Ranger – intricate 21-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels – as well as an 80mm wider track, electrically retractable side steps and an MS-RT branded fuel cap.

Inside, the MS-RT gets heavily bolstered front bucket seats, which are electrically adjustable in eight directions, and a beautifully designed sports steering wheel with a blue 12 o’clock marker. The black and blue theme carries over to the leatherette and suede upholstery with blue stitching and plenty of MS-RT branding on the steering wheel, dashboard, seats and carpets.

Under the skin you will find a revised suspension consisting of firmer front dampers and a retuned rear setup. Overall, the MS-RT has been bumped to the ground by about 40mm, which not only gives the truck a squat, track-ready look, but also delivers a more precise and stable ride.
