Man dies after single-vehicle crash in Pemiscot County

PEMISCOT COUNTY, Mo. (KFVS) – A Caruthersville man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Pemiscot County, Missouri.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Report, the crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. on Sunday, November 24. The driver was on Interstate 55 Northbound around the 12.8 mile marker.

The accident occurred when a 2008 GMC ran off the right side of the roadway, struck an embankment and overturned.

The driver, a 71-year-old Caruthersville man, was pronounced dead by Pemiscot County Coroner Brian Irions at 3:11 p.m.

According to the MSHP, the driver was not wearing a safety device during the crash.
