CHRAJ Clears Pastor Kusi Boateng of Conflict of Interest, Says He Doesn’t Hold Two Passports With Different Names

Rev. Kusi Boateng

The Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) has cleared Pastor Victor Kusi Boateng of charges that he is in possession of two passports with two different names.

Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, Member of Parliament (MP) for North Tongu in the Volta Region, petitioned the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative Justice (CHRAJ) in January 2023 to investigate the Secretary of the National Cathedral Board of Trustees , Pastor Victor Kusi-Boateng. , about conflicts of interest, including possession of multiple identities and other alleged criminal acts.

However, a report by CHRAJ shows that he has one passport with the name Kwabena Adu Gyamfi and that he was never issued a passport with the name Kusi-Boateng as alleged.

The petition by Mr. Okudzeto Ablakwa, which was received by the two Deputy Commissioners of CHRAJ, also alleged that there had been a transfer of GH¢2.6 million in cash from the National Cathedral Secretariat to JNS Talent Center Limited, owned by Rev. Kusi-Boateng under his leadership. secondary identity, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

The Commission, however, concluded that no service was provided by the JNS Talent Center Limited, owned by Rev. Kusi-Boateng under his secondary identity, Kwabena Adu Gyamfi.

Instead, Rev. Kusi Boateng offered to pay contractors of the National Cathedral because the National Cathedral was not in a good financial position at the time, and thus the funds transferred to him were monies owed to him for the paying project contractors.
