Stevie J reveals Diddy was on drugs while attacking Cassie

If Sean “Diddy” Combs awaiting trial on sex trafficking and racketeering charges, Stevie J says he was as surprised as everyone else about the alleged evidence against him. He weighed in on the rapper’s reputation and responded to the video of the Cassie attack.

According to XXL Magthat Stevie J recently sat down with TMZ for their multi-part series documenting Diddy’s case. As a longtime friend and collaborator of Combs, Stevie has insight into the Bad Boy founder’s lifestyle. In the interview, he addressed the allegations Diddy is facing and the evidence presented.

If BASIP According to CNN, CNN has released surveillance footage of Diddy’s physical assault Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura. This video is key evidence in the case against Diddy, and Stevie said he was shocked by it.

“It really confused me,” he revealed. “I’m always thinking about and talking about things I know to be true about Sean Combs.”

The former Love and hip hop The star also stated that when the footage was released, he talked to Combs about it because he was surprised to know that Diddy could attack a woman.

“After I saw the video, I went to see him in Miami and we had a conversation. And I let him know how deeply affected I was by that. “I didn’t know he had it in him to do that,” he said.

“I just know he was in a dark place in his life, as he described to me,” he added. “He was just doing a lot of drugs and it was just dark for him.”

You may remember Diddy responded to the release of the images and took responsibility for it in an Instagram video. Now, however, his team claims that the footage has been edited.

“It’s so hard to think about the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you gotta do that,” Diddy said in his video. “I was confused – I had hit rock bottom – but I’m not making excuses. My behavior in that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video,” he continued. “I was disgusted when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and sought professional help. I started going to therapy, going to rehab. I had to ask God for his mercy and grace.”

Combs is currently awaiting trial at the Brooklyn Metropolitan Detention Center. His trial is scheduled for May 2025. While doing so, he and his legal team have been desperately trying to get bail. The rapper was denied bail three times, but on his fourth attempt his team presented themselves new evidence regarding the footage of him attacking Cassie.

In the filing, Combs denies the claim that the attack occurred during one of his infamous so-called “freak-offs.” The paperwork also stated that his relationship with Cassie was not an abusive relationship, but rather a toxic situation. He claims the video was “a minute-long glimpse into a complex but decade-long consensual relationship.”

Combs is still awaiting a decision on his fourth bail request.
