Officers are searching for suspects involved in breaking into six cars and stealing credit cards

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) – “Several vehicles had their front passenger windows broken, and several had their wallets stolen from the vehicles,” according to the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office.

The MCSO is asking for the community’s help in identifying the suspects involved in stealing from vehicles and using stolen credit cards.

Officials say an unknown person entered six vehicles parked at the Liberty Cap Trail Head at Colorado National Monument on Nov. 15. The suspects also damaged other vehicles but failed to gain entry.

Officials say a male suspect was seen on video using one of the victim’s credit cards at the Redlands Safeway almost immediately after the crimes occurred.

A woman was also seen on video in Greenwood Village, Colorado, trying to cash a stolen check using an ID stolen from a vehicle.

Law enforcement is asking anyone with information about the crime to call the Mesa County Sheriff’s Office at 970-242-6707 or submit a tip. Tips can be passed on anonymously via Crime Stoppers of Mesa County.
