Deceased identified in car, pedestrian crash in east Topeka

TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) – The deceased has been identified in a vehicle and pedestrian accident that occurred on November 20 in East Topeka.

According to the Topeka Police Department, the deceased has been identified as Emmett Leatherwood, 72, of Topeka.

On Wednesday, November 20, officers from the Topeka Police Department responded to a reported injury crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian near the 1900 block of SE Adams in Topeka, KS around 6:01 p.m.

The man was taken by AMR to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

All people involved have been taken into account.

The investigation is ongoing.
