Omaha police identify a teen killed in a crash on West Dodge Road

OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) – Omaha police have identified the teen died in an accident Saturday evening.

On Monday, police identified the victim as 14-year-old Keefer Kearns.

Police say the investigation is ongoing.

According to an OPD statement, officers responded to a report of a pedestrian being struck by a vehicle near 156th Street and West Dodge Road on Saturday shortly before 7 p.m.

When officers arrived, they found Kearns at the 156th Street exit and immediately began lifesaving measures.

The boy was taken to CHI Bergan Mercy Hospital, where Kearns died.
