Drivers identified in a Wisconsin crash that sent a 23-year-old to the hospital with life-threatening injuries

RUBICON, Wis. (WFRV) – Authorities in Wisconsin say they have identified the drivers involved a crash that resulted during which a 23-year-old was arrested and taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

According to a press release from the Dodge County Sheriff’s OfficeOn November 19 at 5 p.m., officers responded to a crash on Goodland Road at County Road N in the Town of Rubicon.

Officials say a 2021 Infinity failed to stop at a stop sign, causing it to be struck by an oncoming 2024 Western Star semi-truck, sending both vehicles into a ditch.

The driver of the semi-truck has been identified as 35-year-old Volodymr Kozmyn of Illinois and he reported that he was not injured in the crash and was later released from the scene.

The driver of the Infinity has been identified as 23-year-old Sultan Al Zein of Milwaukee and he was arrested for OWI and taken to the hospital, where officials say he continues to suffer life-threatening injuries.
