Coroner confirms cause of death of father of missing Hawaii woman found outside LAX

The father of a missing 30-year-old woman from Hawaii died as a result of “multiple traumatic injuries,” a California coroner confirmed.

In online registrations the The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office said Ryan Kobayashi died in a parking lot on Sunday.

His loved ones said they are “completely heartbroken and at a loss for words,” according to a GoFundMe account.

According to a police spokesperson PEOPLE Authorities responded to reports of “an apparent suicide” after someone called police and said it appeared a person fell or jumped from a parking garage at Los Angeles International Airport, or LAX.

The news follows reports about Kobayashi’s daughter, Hannahwho reportedly disappeared after missing her connecting flight at LAX.

Her family said they are concerned for her safety and fear she has been kidnapped.

“Hannah’s last message to us was alarming. She said she was scared and that someone might try to steal her money and identity,” her aunt said. NBC News identified on social media as Larie Pidgeon.

The media outlet noted that Pidgeon is used by Larie Ingrum on Facebook.

“She has not been heard from since and we are deeply concerned for her safety,” the family member wrote.

Another post said Hannah was at LAX on Nov. 8 on her way to visit family in New York City. But according to the post, she missed the connecting flight.

While she communicated with family via text, her messages stopped a few days later, the family said.

Her loved ones said they had contacted the Los Angeles Police Department but urged the public to keep an eye out for her. They said she lives in Maui, is 6 feet tall and weighs 140 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and fair skin with freckles.

“Time is of the essence, and we hope your voice can help amplify this message in the Los Angeles area, increase visibility, and bring Hannah safely back to Maui,” the post said.
