Ryan Kobayashi was found dead Sunday after jumping from a parking lot near Los Angeles International Airport, where his daughter Hannah missed a connecting flight to New York more than two weeks ago, police said.

Sydni had also confirmed her father’s death in a GoFundMe post that is helping the family’s search for Hannah, and now Ryan’s funeral.

“We are heartbroken to share that my father, Ryan Kobayashi, tragically passed away during the search for Hannah,” she revealed.

“As we continue to search for Hannah, we are also faced with the unexpected costs of Ryan’s funeral. Donations now will both support the search for Hannah and honor Ryan’s memory,” Sydni added.

Police said Ryan died sometime around 4 a.m. Sunday after searching for his missing daughter for 13 days.

Neither the family nor police have said what prompted Ryan to jump to his death.

Other footage showed Kobayashi at the Grove shopping center in LA’s Fairfax District on November 9 and 10, as well as video of her returning to LAX but not boarding a flight on November 11 before being spotted near the subway station, USA Today reports this.
