CAT suspends services on Thanksgiving

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Chatham Area Transit (CAT) will be closed Thursday, the Thanksgiving holiday.

Offices will be closed and services, including all fixed-route buses, CAT-on-demand operations and the Savannah Belles Ferry, will be suspended.

CAT’s W Oglethorpe Avenue window and customer service call center are also closed.

AAA is offering “Tow to Go” services for Thanksgiving

Although the CAT Mobility office is closed, customers can leave a message at 912-650-1091 to schedule their reservation for Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Appointments can also be made online.

Paratransit reservations (including online reservations) for Friday must be made by Wednesday at 4 p.m., CAT said.

Normal transportation operations will resume on Friday, although administrative offices will remain closed until Monday.
