A young Ghanaian has taken to social media to express her frustration and disappointment over her inability to continue her education after completing secondary school secondary school (SHS).

The young lady identified as Abena Blaq said all her SHS friends are currently studying in college while she stays at home due to financial constraints.

In one TikTok post, the lady revealed that she now sells gobɛ (gari and beans), a popular product Ghanaian street food often served with red oil, eggs and sometimes avocado, to earn a living.

“All my SHS friends in college but I’m a gobɛ salesman now. I pray that whatever I pray for becomes successful,” she wrote in the caption.

The behavior of Abena Blaq in the TikTok post suggested that she has a strong desire to continue her studies at university, but does not have the financial support to do so.

After Abena Blaq shared her story on TikTok, netizens who happened to stumble upon her post offered some words of encouragement.

SHS graduate becomes Kenkey salesperson

YEN.com.gh also reported that a Ghanaian lady also complained on social media after she had a Kenkey salesperson after SHS.

The lady took to TikTok to vent and said all her friends were in hot pursuit tertiary education while she was busy all day.

The young lady posted a photo of herself selling kenkey, showing what her life had become after completing high school.
