The streamer, along with rapper Sexyy Red, looked shocked as people rushed to cut the rope around Major’s neck.

‘What the f-k? Wait, no, no! I’m not getting banned! Maybe I’ll get banned! Is he good? I’m staying here. I’m staying here! Can I stay here?” Cenat said.

However, Major later revealed that he was just trying to pull an elaborate prank on the young streamer.

“If you’re watching this, it means something went terribly wrong, but what you don’t know is that it was all according to my plan,” Major said in a YouTube video Tuesday.

“Look, at the beginning of my performance I said that tonight was all about making choices. But not just the choices you made tonight, but the choices you’ve made since the day we met,” he added.

“Since the first time we met, you pushed me, challenged me, and wanted to see me fail. And tonight I thought, I’m giving you exactly what you asked for. You see, you thought the game was meant to influence you to make the right choice.

Major said he intended to “influence” Cenat to “make the wrong choice” by choosing the red handle.

However, Cenat didn’t take the joke lightly, saying on his Twitch stream that he and his team had to “look crazy.”

He also said he told Major to come back on stream and explain what happened to his viewers, but he refused.

Cenat read out a text that Majors sent his team, saying, “It’s Max, I don’t have my phone, I think we should let everyone leave, and we’ll let the story be what it is.” I’m the bad guy, but if I come back, nothing will change. Let the story be what it is.”

He then called Major “selfish” for refusing to clarify at this point. At the same time, many viewers objected to the hanging joke and took to social media to express their feelings.

“This is sick when you literally made Kai fail and making a joke like that live in front of so many people is insane,” one netizen wrote in Major’s YouTube video comments section.

“Bro 200,000 people just watched some guy get hanged as a joke? Dude, that’s not funny. The least you can do is apologize,” another added.

‘Unacceptable decision you have made. It wasn’t a joke, but a real life incident that happens every day! You’re a bad person for running away instead of apologizing right afterward. Shame on you,” a third person commented.

“Faking suicide as a ‘joke’ is horrible, man,” said a fourth.
