An Arizona man was arrested Monday on suspicion of threatening to kill Donald Trump in videos posted online.

Manuel Tamayo-Torres illegally possessed firearms that he brandished in several videos, including an “AR 15 style rifle,” according to court documents. Investigators said Tamayo-Torres, whose records indicate lives in Tolleson, made a number of bizarre claims about Trump, alleging that the newly elected president had kidnapped and trafficked his children.

According to court documents, Tamayo-Torres attended a political rally with Trump in Glendale in August. That event occurred weeks after a 20-year-old man tried to kill Trump at an outdoor campaign rally near Butler, Pennsylvania.

Investigators said Tamayo-Torres claimed he saw Trump and Secret Service agents kidnap his daughter at the Glendale rally. They said Tamayo-Torres has made several “vague but direct threats” against Trump, his family members and law enforcement officials in profanity-laden videos posted almost daily on Facebook.

Court documents do not name Trump directly but refer to him as “Individual 1,” who is described as “a public figure, namely a former president and the current president-elect.”

In a Nov. 21 video, Tamayo-Torres said Trump and his “entire family” were “going to die,” according to court documents.

“You’re lowlife,” Tamayo-Torres said, according to court documents, before threatening to spit in his face.

Later in the same video, Tamayo-Torres allegedly threatened to “torture” and “kill” Trump.

Tamayo-Torres was charged with making threats against a president or successor to the presidency.

He was also charged with four counts of making false statements during the purchase of a firearm. Investigators say he lied on federal forms while trying to buy firearms at Shooter’s World, a gun store in Phoenix.

According to court documents, Tamayo-Torres falsely said on the forms that he was not a convicted felon and was not subject to a protective order preventing him from owning guns. Investigators say Tamayo-Torres has a prior conviction for assault in California and his ex-wife obtained a restraining order last year.
