Richmond Courts: Couple faces shoplifting and human trafficking charges

The crimes are said to have taken place at the end of February.

Two people have been charged in Richmond provincial court with theft and dealing in stolen property.

Alyssa Susan John and Darren Patrick John are charged with one count of theft of less than $5,000 from Toys R Us, one count of dealing in “property or things” they allegedly knew to have been obtained through a criminal offense, and another charge of possession of this property.

Darren John is facing a fourth charge of theft from Toys R Us of merchandise under $5,000.

The crimes are said to have taken place between February 14 and 29.

Alyssa John and Darren John were in Richmond Provincial Court this week and will return on January 21.

The two 46-year-olds are currently not in custody.
