Three arrested for beating a friend to death in Noida

A 24-year-old man, who was allegedly attacked by his friends on November 24 following a dispute outside a liquor shop in Noida’s Sector 66, died early on Thursday morning after being treated at a hospital for three days, senior police officers said. adding that three suspects have been arrested on murder charges.

The deceased was identified as Nishant Kumar alias Ankit, a resident of Khoda in Ghaziabad, police said.

“On the night of November 24, Kumar, along with his friends, had come to drink alcohol at a liquor shop in Mamura area of ​​Sector 66, Noida. While consuming liquor, a dispute broke out between the friends and Kumar was brutally attacked. One of the accused allegedly broke a liquor bottle on Kumar’s head,” said Rajeev Kumar, assistant commissioner of police, Central Noida.

“When police received information about the brawl from the liquor store manager, a team rushed to the spot and the injured were admitted to a nearby hospital. ) of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at the Phase 3 police station on November 25,” said ACP Kumar.

Police said Kumar succumbed to head injuries after three days of treatment at Delhi’s Safdarjung Hospital around 3 am on Thursday.

“Three suspects, identified as Lavkush, 22; Sonu, 27, (some names) and Suresh Khatri, 23, all residents of Mamura, Phase 3, were arrested on Thursday,” ACP Kumar said, adding that efforts are on to identify more people involved in the fracas. Further research is being conducted.

Man arrested for shooting at moving bus, one injured

In a separate incident, a 30-year-old man was arrested for shooting at an 18-year-old man over a ownership dispute over a running bus in the Knowledge Park area of ​​Greater Noida.

Police said the suspect has been identified as Sundar Singh, a native of Meerut and a resident of Jewar.

“On Wednesday evening, when Jugendra Kaur, a resident of Jewar, came to Pari Chowk along with his son, Himmat Singh, in a private bus, accused Sundar, a distant relative, pulled out a gun and shot at him. moving bus.
