Experts share tips on how to navigate Travel Tuesday discounts

TAMPA, Fla. – In recent years, Travel Tuesday has grown in popularity.
“Not just in terms of how many people are searching for the term, but also in terms of how many travel brands are joining in and getting in on that retail action,” said Katy Nastro, a travel expert at To go.

Travel experts expect more U.S. airlines will participate in cutting prices this Travel Tuesday.

“Consider off-peak times like early December to save even more,” says Carls.
If you’re planning to book a trip today, you’ll get the most bang for your buck if you’re flexible about travel dates and destinations.
“If you’re thinking about taking a trip to Asia, this is really the time to do it, because the average price of airline tickets to Asia in general from the US is down 13% year-on-year, and that’s a big , big savings,” said Nastro.
Consider traveling during the week instead of on the weekend.
“It might save you some money if you go on Tuesday or Wednesday,” Judd said.
If you book a flight on Travel Tuesday, don’t forget to use your points and miles to save even more.
“Make sure you’re piling up your points and miles, so this can mean shopping special airline portals for various gifts this holiday season, and that can only help you pile up the currencies you can use in the future. use,” Nastro said.
