National Fuel Gas Company Foundation announces more than 0,000 in charitable grants

The Board of Directors of the National Fuel Gas Company Foundation (Foundation), the charitable arm of the National Fuel Gas Company (National Fuel), recently approved Foundation grants totaling $207,000.

According to David P. Bauer, Foundation Chairman and President and CEO of National Fuel, National Fuel awards grants to 35 nonprofit organizations, including four Community Grant recipients, nonprofit organizations nominated by our community groups. Employee Resources (ERG) and Days of Doing partners.

“We are pleased to provide grants to many nonprofit organizations throughout our service territory,” Bauer said. “While the missions of these organizations vary, each performs essential work and helps make our communities safer, healthier and more prosperous. »

In New York, Alfred State College’s Heavy Equipment Operations program received a grant to purchase a mini excavator and provide scholarships for 25 students to purchase necessary tools. The Tifft Nature Preserve also received funding for the East Canal Ecological Renewal Project to restore 63 acres of habitat through invasive species management and revegetation efforts.

In Pennsylvania, the Susquehanna Health Foundation and UPMC Wellsboro received funding to help purchase a 37-foot community mobile health unit that will travel to rural communities to provide needed health care services. A grant was also awarded to the Barber National Institute to support its accessible community pool renovation project.

Each year, National Fuel’s ERGs: EDGE Fuel, FEMALE Fuel, PRIDE Fuel and Allies, and VET Fuel, nominate nonprofit organizations whose missions and community work align with each ERG’s values ​​to the Foundation. Recipients include:

Last month, hundreds of National Fuel employees volunteered across the company’s service territory during Days of Doing (DOD), an annual three-day company-wide event. Partner organizations worked with National Fuel to make the event a success and each received a charitable donation. Recipients include:
