Free clinic offered to help expunge and seal past criminal records

A free clinic on May 22 will help York County residents seal their prior criminal records and expunge non-convictions from those records.

MidPenn Legal Services, the York County Bar Association and the York County Bar Foundation are sponsoring the clinic from 5 to 7 p.m.

Volunteer attorneys will be on hand to educate the community on current law and recent changes to criminal justice codes.

Free clinic offered to help expunge and seal past criminal records

The goal is to help eligible individuals expunge and/or permanently seal their prior criminal records.

The benefit of expunging non-convictions is that it helps those seeking employment be able to honestly say that they have never been convicted of a crime.
