Luis Suarez sends message to Darwin Nunez amid criticism and social media scrubbing – Liverpool FC

Darwin Nunez has been under the spotlight after deleting Instagram posts and unconvincing performances, and now Luis Suarez has taken the opportunity to send a message to his compatriot.

Nunez’s future has been widely considered of late, and he only added fuel to the fire by deleting all photos of him in a Liverpool kit after the win over Tottenham.

Liverpool are currently showing ‘no indication’ of giving up their number 9, but he is at one of his lowest points since joining the club.

Facing growing criticism, Suarez took the opportunity to send a message to his fellow Uruguayan after Nunez responded with “idol” to his latest post on X.

The former Liverpool number 7 was celebrating the club’s 500 goals on social media, and he told Nunez: “Thank you goalscorer for still being there! Always remember POSITIVE and looking forward!

It doesn’t take a genius to read between the lines on this, especially considering all the questions and criticism directed at Nunez lately.

The No.9 admires Suarez and has readily admitted to asking him for advice since arriving at Anfield, from adapting to the English game to overcoming adversity.

The message is simple in its nature but hits the mark, Nunez must stay positive as he looks ahead to the season and moves on to life with a new Liverpool manager.

He has increased his production from last season to now, with 18 goals and 13 assists in 52 appearances to date, compared to 15 goals and four assists in 42 games during his debut campaign.
