Su amor me quema
no, I’m leaving encima
Su amor me quema
no, I’m leaving encima
Nada me alegra
No, I can support
Ya me dejaron con la maraca
And nothing suits me
(You don’t need to be distracted)
And obviously, it’s not your culpa
But I’m on the wrong track
(You don’t need to be distracted)

Martí shares, “The music is inspired by my love of pop, indie pop, and Latin music that I grew up with, as well as the EDM that I listened to growing up in Illinois, acts like Louis the Child, ODESZA, Lorde, Two. Door Cinema Club and Daddy Yankee.

Working alongside producer and sound engineer Michael Lipp on his latest music, the synth-driven “See You Again (Volverte a Ver)” is a vibrant track where danceable electronic melodies spiral with pulsing beats to form a rhythmic vortex, delivering a almost robotic effect. The track is about a time when Martí spent his time with casual relationships to distract himself from the breakup of his relationship.

Quiero worm fly
Worm fly
Don’t be there you are
Quiero worm fly
Worm fly
Don’t be there you are
Need to see you again
Let’s start as more than friends
I think your touch will fix what’s holding me captive
A dance with you is what remains
Let’s build the bridge with our heads
Yeah, our lips just need to touch

The songwriter shares: “We started ‘See You Again (Volverte a Ver)’ a long time ago, I think at the time I was still in a relationship and I thought of the chorus ‘Quiero Volverte a Ver” a bit random I think I just liked how it sounded. So initially the song wasn’t about anyone or my own experience and it sat there for a while. We came back to it after me and this guy broke up and that’s when Verses came along and I was really able to write from experience I was pretty numb at the time and I was romanticizing every relationship and every date.

“See You Again (Volverte a Ver)” marks the start of an important chapter for Martí and we hope to hear a lot more this year, as it sets the bar extremely high.
