KHLOE Kardashian has opened up about the challenges she faced after the birth of her son, Tatum.

The Kardashian star reflected on Tatum’s birth via surrogate on Tuesday’s episode of the SHE MD podcast.

During the episode, Khloe, 39, revealed to the podcast host and her obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Thaïs Aliabadi, and her co-host, Mary Alice Haney, that she had only named her son, now 2 years old, only eight months later. His arrival.

“So Tatum is a little different story. I like unique names, but not wacky names,” the Hulu star said.

“I think our family has enough wacky names. I didn’t want to get too crazy.

“I actually didn’t legally name Tatum, I think, for maybe eight months,” Khloe confessed.

MOTHER-SON BONDS

She then explained why she struggled to choose the little one’s nickname for so long.

“I was trying different names at first, but none I liked. And then Tatum was, but we always called him Baby, or I called him Dad all the time.”

The Good American founder continued, “So Dad was a lot that I used, but it was hard for me to name him because it’s interesting because I wasn’t wearing him, I wasn’t really feeling anything.”

Khloe further shared how different she felt after Tatum’s birth compared to when she welcomed her oldest, six-year-old True.

Khloe previously spoke about how disconnected she felt from Tatum when he was born in an episode of her family’s reality TV series, The Kardashians.

But today, Khloe feels a much closer connection to her son, saying on the podcast, “I’m obsessed with Tatum now, of course.”

She also noted that her experience differed from that of her sister, Kim Kardashian, 43, who has already opted for surrogacy twice, and urged others not to “compare yourself to someone’s journey else.”

“I think it’s an incredible blessing that we have this option, and I’m so grateful for the women who give up their bodies to carry someone else’s baby and then give it back to their mother. It’s such a beautiful thing. But give yourself some grace,” the TV star added.

Additionally, on the podcast, Khloe opened up about how her mental health was significantly affected when welcoming a second child.

Khloe and Tristan first linked up in 2016 after attending a party together in Miami.

In 2018, they welcomed their first child, True.

Tristan was later caught cheating on Khloe several times during her pregnancy.

They split after it was revealed he kissed Kylie Jenner’s best friend Jordyn Woods at a party.

The couple reconciled in 2020 and ended things in 2021.

Six months after they ended, it emerged that Tristan had fathered a child with Maralee Nichols while he and Khloe were together.

A few months later, in July 2022, Khloe revealed that the couple was expecting their second child, son Tatum, via surrogate.

The couple are currently co-parenting and say there is no romantic connection between them.

The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum first admitted she “cried hysterically” after learning the surrogate had gone into labor early and couldn’t have a final weekend between girls with True.

She then explained why the water pipes actually happened.

“It wasn’t even about the weekend, it was about the moment when it’s real,” Khloe said.

However, her doctor assured her that the baby had to be delivered quickly because the surrogate had “no fluid in the sac.”

CARING FOR TATUM

Worried about Khloe’s reaction, her doctor even offered to care for the baby until the Revenge Body alum was ready to take over.

“She (Dr. Aliabadi) says, ‘You know what? I’m going to give birth. I’m going to take the baby, and you let me know when you’re ready to pick him up.’ And I was like, “What? I’m like, ‘Who’s doing this?’ And she did it?” life, we have to do this,” the TV personality recalled.

Adding another child to the family wasn’t the only thing on Khloe’s plate at the time.

Shortly before Tatum’s birth, news broke that Tristan, 33, had cheated on Khloe and fathered a child, son Theo, now two, with fitness trainer Maralee Nichols, 33 .

“It devastated me because that’s when all the judgment and knives were thrown at me,” Khloe said of the media scrutiny.

Khloe and Tristan have since been on better terms as they co-parent their two children.

Their relationship is so good that Khloe is considering having a third child with the NBA star.

Last month, The US Sun exclusively reported that Khloe was planning to expand her family with Tristan before her 40th birthday.
