Sky’s Angel Reese shows her haters she’s ready for the WNBA after taking Breanna Stewart to school

She arrived! Angel Reese is signed for the Chicago Sky’s WNBA preseason. The former LSU star will finally have the opportunity to play in the big leagues and cook for some of the biggest names in the world. She started by making her name known against the New York Liberty. Specifically, she got down to business and married Breanna Stewart for the easy bucket.

Angel Reese may have just had the best play of the WNBA preseason. The Sky rookie compared herself to Breanna Stewart and found the driving route easy as well as the perfect look to nail a shot. The Liberty veteran tried to contest but in vain.

That wasn’t the only thing Angel Reese was capable of doing for the Sky. She also started and managed to play 24 minutes. Her skills were not wasted at all in any second of this WNBA preseason game. She ended up turning away six of her 10 field goal attempts to score 13 points. Additionally, his ability to crash the boards was also on display. She boxed well and even outpaced some members of the Liberty to record five rebounds.

This incredibly talented Sky rookie was also dominant in terms of defensive impact. She was able to steal the ball twice from Liberty’s offense. Both played an important role in turning the tide of the game so that Angel Reese was able to help his team win. Their dominance in this game and crazy team chemistry has now propelled the Sky to a one-win record in the 2017 NBA season. Not to mention, they also beat Breanna Stewart’s crew by finishing 101 at 53.

The WNBA preseason has just started and there will be many adjustments for teams to do better in the regular season. This is not at all what Heaven looked like. They showed an insane work ethic on the field and it showed in the score.

Marina Mabery was the one who saved all her shots and led the team in scoring. She made seven of 12 on her field goal attempts for 20 points. Brianna Turner managed to grab eight rebounds in total for the Sky. Dana Evans also helped the Sky a lot by keeping their offensive rhythm. That’s exactly what she managed to accomplish and delivered for seven minutes.

Much of this game was decided using defense. The Sky held Liberty, led by Breanna Stewart, to a horrible 31.7% clip across all three rating levels. Best of all, their perimeter was locked. The Liberty only ended with an outside shot which was around 17.6.
