Joey Votto’s “Griddy” dance in front of the Reds-D’backs inspired by a young fan’s TikTok request

Cincinnati Reds first baseman Joey Votto is nothing but a crowd pleaser.

A young girl posted a sign behind the dugout before Monday night’s game between the Reds and Diamondbacks in Arizona — a 5-4 victory in Cincinnati — that read: “Joey Votto, will you do a TikTok with me? “

Jim Day of Bally Sports Ohio reported that the 12-year-old Phoenix fan collaborated with Votto, who delivered a “Griddy” dance that would make Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase proud.

Votto recently joined TikTok this season and has seen many of his posts go viral.
