Fulton Theater Announces 2024-25 Season of Musicals, Plays and Tribute Concerts |  Entertainment

The Broadway version of a hit Disney film, the rock version of the last days of Jesus Christ, dancing cats, tributes to early rock and country legends and a grown-up version of a holiday tale from Dr. Seuss are among the offerings in what the Fulton Theater is calling its upcoming season a “blockbuster.”

The shows for the 2024-25 season were announced Monday evening, May 6.

Main Stage Shows

Next season’s main stage shows are:

“Magnificent: The Carole King Musical,” September 20-Oct. 20. The musical traces King’s career and personal life from teenage songwriter to successful artist.

-Disney “Frozen,” the Broadway musical, from November 15 to December. 19. The show is based on the hit animated film that produced the hit song “Let it Go.” (Ronks native Jonathan Groff was one of the stars of the “Frozen” film series).

“Jesus Christ Superstar,” February 14 – March 9, 2025. This is the Fulton premiere of this early 1970s rock musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice that tells the story of the end of Jesus’ life.

“Anastasia: the musical” April 11-May 11, 2025. A young woman with amnesia searches for her identity; could she be the surviving Russian duchess who was killed along with her father, the Tsar?

"Cats," From June 13 to July 20, 2025. Which of the many singing and dancing felines will have a new life in the Heavyside Layer?


Lancaster County Theater: Here's What's Opening on Area Stages in May

Ellen Arnold Groff Studio Series

Ellen Arnold Groff Studio Series shows include:

"Death Trap," October 4-Nov. 3. This comedy-thriller about playwrights with a murderous streak is a play within a play. (Groff, incidentally, performed in this play in London in 2010.)

“Who’s on vacation!” » December 4-22. This adults-only comedy, inspired by Dr. Seuss, sees an adult Cindy Lou Who reflect on the twists and turns her life has taken since meeting the Grinch.

“The Irish and how they got there” February 7 – March 23, 2025. This Fulton favorite traces 150 years of Irish-American history with songs, stories and more.

“Plaid forever” April 25 – May 25, 2025. This funny and nostalgic revue of harmonized “guy band” songs from the 1950s finds the deceased Plaids returning from the afterlife for one last concert.

Tribute concert series

The Fulton’s new Tribute Concert Series has three offerings for the season:

"Great balls of fire," with Jason Cohen, January 25 and 26, 2025, a tribute to Jerry Lee Lewis and the musical genres that influenced him.

“This one’s for the girls: Patsy Cline and the women of the country,” with Christine Mild, March 23 and 24.

“King in concert” with Victor Trevino Jr., May 17 and 18, 2025, a tribute to Elvis Presley.


Fulton Family Series

Finally, the Fulton Family series offers three one-hour Saturday morning adaptations of children’s classics:

“A Christmas Carol,” November 30-Dec. 21.

“Alice in Wonderland,” April 19-May 3, 2025.

“Aladdin” February 22-March 8, 2025.
