Newport announces lane closures for gas line work

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Newport drivers should be aware of lane closures through Friday at 5 p.m.

On Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., Bellevue Avenue between Memorial Blvd and East Bowery will be reduced to southbound traffic only.

Gas line work will be underway in the northbound lane of Bellevue Avenue.

All northbound traffic on Bellevue Ave will be detoured to East Bowery, to Freebody, to Memorial Blvd.
