Nathan Fillion has a message for ‘The Rookie’ fans as the series announces news about its future

Fans of The recruitLooks like we’re experiencing a new set of adventures from the folks who work at LAPD Mid-Wilshire!

Before the last episode of season 6, broadcast Tuesday April 30 on ABC, the channel surprised fans with an announcement that many were waiting for. In an exciting revelation made by Variety on April 15, fans learned The recruit has been renewed for season 7 and will return during the 2024-2025 television season. In addition, according to the media outlet, the show is currently riding a wave of success, since the season premiere on February 20 attracted “11.9 million viewers across all platforms in Live+35 audiences, its best audience since 2018.

If that wasn’t enough to get people excited, the series took to Instagram to confirm the news with its followers. “🚨 #TheRookie will return for a 7th season on ABC and Stream on Hulu! 🚨,” the official caption read.

Naturally, as The recruit has developed a major following over the years, it didn’t take long for viewers to get excited about the new episodes coming soon.

“Congratulations ❤️ Love The recruit best show on tv ❤️❤️❤️❤️,” one person said in the comments. “THIS IS WHAT THE BEST SHOW IN THE WORLD DESERVES EVERYONE TO CHEER for,” shouted another. “Yes, I can’t wait 🔥 🔥🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤,” another follower added.

So how did the casting of The recruit What do you think of the series returning for season 7? Good when Nathan Fillion (who plays John Nolan) shared a screenshot of the Deadline announcement on Instagram, he expressed his gratitude to those who continue to tune in each week on ABC.

“It’s a good feeling to have work,” he wrote on April 16. “It’s even better to be able to be proud of this work. If you are one of those who appreciate The recruit, we owe you our thanks. Thank you for having excellent taste in entertainment. Season 7, here we come. (And let’s not forget ABC! Thanks for your support!).”
