Zelda-inspired dungeon creator ‘Quest Master’ arrives May 29 with new live demo

Incorporating elements from classic Zelda and Super Mario Maker, Quest Master has a really fun idea that lets you design dungeons and go on adventures. The developer has now announced plans to release it into Early Access on May 29, and a big demo refresh is now available to try out. It also supports Native Linux.

You can imagine multi-level dungeons filled with levers, timed switches, moving platforms, then add infinite verticality with stairwells and abyssal holes and much more. Oh, there are monsters too, because what’s a dungeon crawler without something to hit with a sword or bow.

In the new demo, use updated building tools to create perilous journeys and puzzling dungeons filled with puzzles across multiple themes, including ornate temples, volcanic caverns, and labyrinthine lairs. Practice combat in the dojo and try your luck in mini-games for prizes like Lucky’s Locks, where heroes search for a chest full of loot hidden among empty containers.

“Our community has been very supportive and vocal, and we are happy to implement some of their requests both during the Early Access launch and the new demo,” said developer Julian Creutz main Quest Master. “The user-created dungeons we’ve seen from demo players have been stunning, and we can’t wait to deliver even more creative tools to quest masters around the world.”

You can create a wishlist/follow and try the demo on Steam.
